Everyone thinks that renting a roll-off dumpster is as easy as calling a company, getting a dumpster, and then having the company take the dumpster away after it’s been used. And that is true to some extent. But, just like with any other home service, you are likely to have more questions about dumpster container rentals once you learn more about the specifics. We’ve put together this list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) to help you with the most important ones:

How big is the dumpster that rolls away?

Cubic yards are used to measure the size of the dumpster. For example, a 30-yard dumpster can hold 30 cubic yards of trash. The most common sizes for our dumpsters are 10, 20, 30, and 40 yards.

How long can I keep the bin?

With maximum rental services, you can rent a dumpster for anywhere from one day to four weeks. Larger waste management companies like us, on the other hand, can rent dumpsters that can be kept for more than four weeks or even permanently. In this setup, the dumpster is taken away on a regular basis, either every day, every week, or every two weeks.

Do I really have to put things in the dumpster in a certain way?

Yes, you’re right. Dumpsters have to be filled in a way that keeps the trash inside even. There can’t be a lot of trash or holes in one spot inside the dumpster. You should also try not to put too much in the dumpster. This means that the trash can’t be full or have things sticking out of it. If you fill a dumpster wrong, there are some risks and you might have to pay more for the rental. Most big dumpsters have a door that makes it easier to load them the right way.

Do they need me to be there when they pick up the dumpster?

If the dumpster is properly filled and there are no obstacles in the way, you won’t need to be there when it is picked up.

What extra charges will there be if I need the dumpster for a longer time?

During your rental, if you realise you might need the dumpster for a longer time than you originally planned, you must let us know as soon as possible. We are usually willing to work with you in these situations and won’t charge you extra if you need to keep the dumpster for a few days or longer.

Do I need any papers before I can rent the container?

Most of the time, no, if you are in or near jacksonville. But if you have to put the dumpster on public property, you might need to get a permit from your local building permit office. The permit’s limits are set by the person who gives it to you, so you should check to see if you need one before you book a rental, since a hauler may get your business before approving your permit status.

How soon can I get a trash bin?

Should I be able to use a trash bag instead?

Yes, you can. But compared to a dumpster, these bags don’t usually give you as much space or weight for your money when you need to store trash.
